This adaptor allows you to connect a water butt to an outlet fitting such as a tap. It requires a 26mm (3/4" BSP) hole for installation. To fit the adaptor, remove the nut and one of the two washers, then insert the fitting through the prepared hole. From the inside, reattach the washer and nut—taking care not to overtighten, as this may damage the thread. Once installed, the adaptor accepts any outlet fitting with a 1/2" BSP male thread (which measures approximately 21mm across). The fitting includes a thick washer to help create a watertight seal, and for best results, we recommend applying a small amount of PTFE tape to the outlet thread during installation.
