Product Description Voltarol Back & Muscle Pain Relief 1.16% Gel provides up to 2x faster* targeted pain relief for stiff muscles, joints, sprains, strains, and sports injuries (*vs placebo). This scientifically proven formula works deep in the muscle tissue to help relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and restore movement. Unlike non-medicated gels, Voltarol contains a unique 1.16% diclofenac formulation which penetrates deeply into the joint, offering powerful relief directly at the source of pain. Whether you're dealing with back, knee, neck or muscle pain, Voltarol is clinically proven to deliver effective anti-inflammatory action and support faster recovery (vs non-medicated gel). How Voltarol, a Pain Killer Gel, Works: Unlike tablets which travel through the stomach, Voltarol Back & Muscle Pain Relief 1.16% Gel penetrates deeply into the skin towards the joint. Voltarol 1% Gel contains a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug – diclofenac diethylammonium – which is retained in the joint tissue, to provide targeted relief at the source of pain (apply once morning and evening). How to Use Voltarol: Gently rub or massage a small amount of gel into the skin around the painful or swollen area, an amount ranging in size from 1 or 2 pence piece; the amount of gel needed will vary depending upon the size of the painful or swollen area. Apply 2 times daily (preferably morning and evening) unless your doctor tells you otherwise (maximum daily dosage 8 g). Consult your doctor if pain and swelling do not improve or worsen after 7 days. Do not use the gel for longer than 7 days unless longer treatment has been recommended by a doctor. The gel is not recommended for use in children under 14 years of age. Read the package leaflet before use. 2. Use an amount the size of a one penny or two penny piece 2 times daily (preferably morning and evening) to the affected area of skin. 3. Adults and children aged 14 and over: Do not use this medicine for more than 14 days unless longer treatment is recommended by a doctor. If the pain and swelling do not improve within 7 days, or if they get worse, tell your doctor. Do not exceed the stated dose. Do not use more than 56 g of Voltarol Joint & Back Pain Relief 2.32% Gel in one week. If symptoms worsen or pers for longer than 7 days consult your doctor.
