A unique and useful 3-10mm HSS 'Combined Bit' set designed for drilling, tapping and deburring in one operation, manufactured by Völkel. Designed for use with battery powered screwdriver drills and electric hand drills, the combined bits are also suitable for thread cutting in a stationary drilling machine. The set covers the most popular metric sizes - 3mm x 0.5, 4mm x 0.7, 5mm x 0.8, 6mm x 1.0, 8mm x 1.25 and 10mm x 1.5. These are metric course (standard) thread sizes. This set is for making right handed threads. All the combined bits are on a 1/4" hexagon shank which means that, with the 1/4" hex shank adaptor included, the user can swap the tool bits very quickly and easily. The combined bits are manufactured from High Speed Steel (HSS) and have precision ground threads. These combined bits are suitable for universal use in materials of medium mechanical strength, non ferrous metals and thermoplastics (up to 600 N/mm2). It is possible to produce through threads up to a maximum threaded depth of 1 x D (nominal diameter of the tool). They are especially useful for small batch production. Please take care that the tool and the axis of the hole are exactly aligned and use a suitable cutting oil or lubricant. The set is supplied in a robust plastic case.
