Preparation Instructions: These Cholla wood pieces are shipped completely dry. While they are pre-cleaned, we recommend the following precautions due to storage and transit: For Aquariums: Soak the wood in a separate container for 24–48 hours until fully waterlogged so it sinks easily. Alternatively, boil and soak for a few hours before adding to an established tank to minimize tannin release. For Dry Enclosures (Hermit Crabs, Reptiles, Birds): We recommend boiling the wood and then baking it until fully dry to ensure it is completely sanitized and free of bacteria.
