Product description

Good resistance to club root and is the first F1 variety. Attractive purple shoulders with a tasty cream coloured flesh. Globe shaped roots which are very uniform. Early growth habit is vigorous. Outdoors, sow thinly, May-July, where they are to crop, 1.5cm (ยฝ") deep, directly into finely-prepared, rich, well-dug soil, which has already been watered. Allow 45cm (18") between rows. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Thin out to 25cm (10") apart. Water well until plants are established. Make two or three successional sowings to provide a crop throughout the winter. Harvest: October-March. Harvesting: Sowing to harvest 20 to 24 weeks Begin lifting as soon as the roots are large enough to use there is no need to wait until they reach their maximum size, use when they upwards of 'billiard ball' size. Harvest is usually from early autumn - November to February, but can extend from mid-September to the end of March. Do not hesitate to smell the roots, the stronger the scent, the stronger is the flavour of the vegetable. You can leave them in the soil and lift with a fork as required until spring, but it may be more convenient to lift and store them indoors in December for later use. The storage technique is to twist off the leaves and place the roots between layers of dry peat or sand in a stout box. They will store in a cool shed or refrigerator for several months. Suitable for the vegetable garden and allotments Harvest is usually from early autumn - November to February Begin lifting as soon as the roots are large enough to use there is no need to wait until they reach their maximum size, use when they upwards of 'billiard ball' size.

I wrote to Bigamart's customer support and they accompanied the process of reshipping the item until it finally arrived. I felt a genuine effort to solve the problem till it was finally solved.
