• MIXED VIOLAS: 2 Pack of six Viola plants garden ready to plant now. These traditional garden bedding plants are in a selection of colours bringing an array of colour to outdoors. They will provide an abundance of bright flowers throughout the season even for winter flowering. They are from the same family of plants as pansies but are smaller. Grown in bedding areas but also in hanging baskets and patio containers.
• SEASON OF INTEREST: They flower primarily in cooler weather and prefer colder weather but can tolerate heat which is why they grow so well in UK gardens making them surprisingly hardy. Depending on the weather they can flower from late spring to autumn and winter. This variety is an annual plants and not perennial.
• CARE: Violas are happy in full sunlight to partial shade in well draining soil. They can grow to a height and spread of 20 x 25cm. To maintain their longevity it is recommended to deadhead to allow newer growth and water regularly, particularly in drier weather. Violas should be planted 20 cm apart in containers of peat free compost with a little grit added, or at the front of a flower border. A balanced fertiliser should be applied weekly once flowering commences.
