This set includes three quality fireclay ceramic bricks: two reversible side bricks one 8 inch back brick. Each brick measures 31.75 mm in thickness is manufactured to withstand high temperatures whilst maintaining low thermal conductivity for energy efficiency. The set is designed to reduce the size of the firebed, enabling households to use less fuel whilst increasing heat output. The fireclay construction provides refractory properties, meaning the bricks are built primarily to withstand furnace-level temperatures. By lining the inside of the firebox with these firebricks, heat is reflected back into the firebox rather than being absorbed by the structure, reducing heat loss significantly. The reversible side bricks are standard fitting for most firebacks grates, accommodating fireplace openings ranging from 14 inches to 20 inches. The back brick measures 20 cm in width fits at the back of the fireplace on of tapered grates. This configuration reduces the grate size saves the amount of coal or logs in the fireplace.
