This is for one unit. Rustic vintage antique handmade wooden farm trays measuring approx 76x45x18cm high they will have either the farms initials or names stamped on the side. The trays may all have the same or different initials or names stamped on the side depending on stock. What are Chitting Trays ? These are trays which farmers used to seed potatoes. They are wooden trays and as you can see by the picture on the left they stack on top of each other. The potatoes were laid out in the trays and left to seed ready for planting. The chitting trays from the 1960s and 70s are becoming very rare as most farmers required the space they were taking up and destroyed them. Now very collectable for displays and the bases of unique garden furniture these trays are becoming popular for many varied uses. Trays are sound but have been used on a working farm for many years and therefore have signs of wear and tear. I don't know if the trays have been treated for woodworm, if this is something you are concerned about I would recommend treating them prior to use. The initials or names stamped on the trays sent may vary to the ones in the photo. Trays will be supplied unwashed and come with rusty nails farmyard dirt and worm spots which adds to their authenticity. They have many uses around the home and garden and stack very well and are ideal for storing fruit and veg etc.
