If you are looking to brighten up your garden during the gloomy winter months then this is the plant for you. With fragrant white flowers that flower from December through until April, and glossy evergreen foliage, this will make a statement in the months where other plants fail to thrive. With a strong fragrance, this is perfect if you are looking to extend the flowering season in your garden. Grow Viburnum ‘Tinus’ plants in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any moderately fertile, well- drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Evergreen Viburnums should be sheltered from cold, drying winds. Water regularly throughout the growing season until plants are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Viburnum ‘Tinus’ requires minimal pruning.
