The company has always focused on percussion instruments, producing drum sticks, brushes and mallets. It was founded by Jack Adams, and today run by his two grandsons Ron and Alan Vater. As an American company manufacturing in the US, Vater has a deep understanding of the Marching Band and Orchestral world. Consequently their range of keyboard mallets comprises of all the sticks you could wish for. All models use 100% wool yarn or Multi-Ply Cord for a uniform look and to provide maximum durability and weather resistance. All FES Marimba Satin Birch Shafts that provide more weight allowing for greater durability, articulation, projection, comfort and ease of use for the multiple applications and demands of both the indoor and outdoor marching percussion ensemble (marimba, suspended cymbal and crashing cymbals all with the same implement).
