- Metric Thread Tap: Thread size: M6 x 1 (right hand); accuracy: H2; total length: 200mm / 8" (extra long); square shank width: 5mm / 0.2"; thread length: 30mm / 1.18"; number of chip flutes: 3 flutes. Micro taps are mainly used in clocks and watches for machining holes in wood and soft metals with low hardness.
- Straight Flute Tap: Straight flute design, clear threads without burrs, right hand tapping direction. Provides rapid downward chip removal to achieve efficient thread cutting, suitable for processing through holes or shallow holes.
- Wide Applications: Thread taps create new threads or re-thread damaged or jammed threads. Widely used for most metals, iron plate, copper, zinc, alloy steel, abrasive steel, A3 steel, stainless steel. Add proper tapping oil for higher quality threads and more durable taps.
- 6542 High Speed Steel Tap: Offer high hardness, good toughness, wear resistance, and excellent cutting performance. Uncoated taps feature just the base substrate without any additional coatings, great for a wide range of applications.
- Tips: Machine taps are used with tapping, drilling, automatic or milling machines. Drill the holes with a twist drill bit first, then tap with a thread tap. The tapping angle should be 90 degrees vertical and stable. NOT recommended for hand and electric drill tapping.

1pcs Metric Thread Taps: Thread Size: M6 x 1 (Right Hand) Accuracy: H2 Total Length: 200mm / 8 inch (Extra Long) Square Shank Width: 5mm / 0.2 inch Thread Length: 30mm / 1.18 inch Number of Chip Flutes: 3 Flutes Style: Straight Flute Tap Material: High-Speed Steel 6542 (HSS 6542) Finish: Uncoated Descriptions: 1. Straight flute tap, clear threads without burrs, right hand tapping direction. Provides rapid downward chip removal to achieve efficient thread cutting, suitable for processing through holes or shallow holes. 2. Thread taps create new threads or re-thread damaged or jammed threads. Widely used for most metals, iron plate, copper, zinc, alloy steel, abrasive steel, A3 steel, stainless steel, etc.. Add proper tapping oil for higher quality internal threads and more durable taps. 3. 6542 high-speed steel metric taps offer high hardness, good toughness, wear resistance, and excellent cutting performance. Uncoated taps feature just the base substrate without any additional coatings, great for a wide range of applications. 4. Machine taps are used with tapping machines, drilling machines, milling machines, CNC. Recommended feed speed: ordinary steel: 6-15m/min; harder steel material: 5-10m/min; stainless steel: 2-7m/min; cast iron: 8-10m/min. NOT recommended for hand and electric drill tapping. Tips: 1. Control speed according to material hardness. The higher the hardness, the slower the speed. Fast speed with small torque; slow speed with high torque. The force must be uniform in tapping operations. 2. Drill the holes with a twist drill bit first, then tap with a thread tap. The tapping angle should be 90 degrees vertical and stable. 3. The tapping depth should not exceed 1.5 times the diameter of the tap (for example, the diameter M5x0.8 is about 5mm, and the depth should not exceed 7.5mm.)
