Important Fitting & Installation Information This universal tap connector is designed to fit many household taps, but it is not suitable for every tap design. Before purchasing, please ensure your tap meets the following requirements: The tap must have a downward-facing spout. The section of the tap where the connector clamps must have a straight or flat-sided surface for the fitting to securely grip. The connector may not be suitable for unusually shaped, oversized, square, pull-out, or flexible tap spouts. How to Install Unscrew the lower locking section of the connector. Position the connector over the end of the tap spout. Carefully align the tap outlet so that it sits centrally against the white rubber sealing washer inside the connector. Once correctly positioned, pull down the orange locking lever to hold the fitting in place. Tighten the connector fully by turning the lower locking ring until the fitting is secure. Turn on the water slowly and check for leaks. If Water Leaks Occur If water sprays or leaks from around the connector: Turn the water supply off immediately. Release the fitting and reposition it so the tap outlet sits correctly against the white rubber seal. Re-tighten and test again. Correct positioning of the tap outlet against the rubber seal is essential for a watertight connection. Important Safety Notice Do not use the orange locking lever as the main tightening mechanism. The lever is designed only to hold the connector in position while the lower locking ring is tightened. Excessive force applied through the lever could place unnecessary strain on your tap. As the connector is manufactured from strong engineering-grade materials, it may be stronger than some domestic tap fittings. Over-tightening using the lever could potentially damage the tap spout, deform softer metals, or affect plated finishes.
