David Behrman - Unforseen Events
Product description
Unforeseen Events is the latest of many pieces David Behrman has produced using computer software designed to interact in real time with a solo performer. The electronic chime bars are designed to complement the sounds of Ben Neill's instrument - the admirable and humorous mutant trumpet with its three separately mutable and playable bells. Light refraction consists of three small pieces, based on an interweaving and overlapping of simple sentences. A musician strikes pitches that trigger reactions in the form of sustained tones that die out after a few seconds and deflect the pitches of other "ON" tones, so that harmonic changes occur at the in- and out-edges of the overlapping layers. The idea can lead to a kind of fanning or breathing rhythm that adapts to different playing styles, and fits a harmonious vocabulary with dozens or notes of family members.

I wrote to Bigamart's customer support and they accompanied the process of reshipping the item until it finally arrived. I felt a genuine effort to solve the problem till it was finally solved.
The package was here in Australia from England in a few days — so quick! Something was missing and they refunded it straight away. Pretty happy with these guys.
