This additional filter can be attached to the water outlet of the RO Station as a water hardener or silicate filter. The container contains two screw caps with connectors for the osmosis system hose and two clamps for direct attachment to the RO station. We especially recommend the use as a silicate filter at the water outlet, for the removal of silica. This can prevent diatomaceous algae and slime algae in aquariums. A mixed bed ion exchanger with colour envelope is used as a medium, item no. No.8550.501 To increase the calcium content of the RO output water, instead of the mixed bed ion exchanger granules, calcium carbonate type No. 880.901. RO output water absorbs high amounts of calcium hydrogen carbonate. The RO output water is hardened, the carbonate hardness is increased. Reverse Osmosis is a natural and environmentally friendly process to safely remove dissolved salts and pollutants from the water in purely physical way.
