Product description
This stunning colour mixture brings a refreshing element of vibrancy to the garden which is reminiscent of a bowl of succulent summer berries. Deep, rich purple flowers are blended with pretty candyfloss pink and vivid red blooms. Tulip ‘Berry Sorbet’ includes impressive fringed varieties which are sure to catch the eye, bringing texture as well as colour to the garden. This Tulip mix makes the biggest impact when grown in large groups, and is perfect for cutting to create a beautiful indoor show which can last for up to 10 days. Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn. Tulips will grow well in any moist, well drained soil, except for particularly wet soils. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds. When planting tulip bulbs avoid shallow planting as this may reduce the winter cold period that is essential for tulip bulbs to produce flowers in spring. Plant them at a depth of 15cm (6") and at a distance of 13cm (5") apart. After flowering, deadhead the faded tulip flowers and allow the foliage to die back completely before removing it in summer. Caution: Tulip bulbs are an irritant to skin and eyes, and are harmful if eaten.
