- In a heated greenhouse or indoors sow in pots late February onwards for planting out May/June.
- Level fill a module tray or pots and firm down a little. Water compost lightly. Sow seeds individually and cover with a 5mm layer of compost on the surface of the good, damp seed compost.
- Place in a propagator or cover pots/trays with cling film. Keep warm to germinate (15-20c). Keep compost moist but not soaked.
- When shoots appear, remove cling film or cover. Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight.
- When plants have 4 leaves and 10-15cm tall, they are ready to be transplanted into 9cm pots of potting compost, unless they are already in pots.
