Description Trashy Bags Africa is a social enterprise that transforms discarded waste into stylish, eco-friendly bags. Based in Accra, Ghana's capital city, we've been leading the way in sustainable development since 2007. To date, we've collected and recycled over 33 million pieces of plastic waste. Each month, nearly 250,000 pieces of plastic waste are collected and brought to us by a network of people who earn an income from their efforts. We employ over thirty-five local people to clean and stitch the waste into fashionable and practical bags and other products. Our range includes backpacks, shopping bags, laptop bags, laptop sleeves, tote bags, wash bags, pencil cases and cross-body bags, all designed for everyday use.
