The Blue Lotus (originally Les Aventures de Tintin, reporter, in the Far East) is the fifth album in the comic book series Les Aventures de Tintin; prepublished in black and white from August 9, 1934 to October 17, 1935 in the pages of the Petit Vingtième Supplement for the youth of the newspaper Le Vingtième Siècle. The color and current version of the album was made in 1946. The Blue Lotus is ranked 18th in the 100 best books of the 20th century.
