Thompson & Morgan Cotinus Coggygria ‘Young Lady’ is an attractive, dwarf Smoke Bush, flowering freely with large plumes of smoky-pink flowers which complement the dark green leaves from midsummer. The foliage turns stunning shades of red and orange, before falling in autumn and its slow growing habit makes this deciduous shrub ideal for small gardens. Grow this Thompson & Morgan Smoke Bush in a moderately fertile, well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Plants are generally unfussy and are a low maintenance choice of shrub for the garden. Your Thompson & Morgan Smoke Bush will require little pruning other than to maintain its shape, and to remove any dead, diseased or damaged growth. Alternatively, to produce larger, showier foliage, you can cut back stems during spring to within 2 or 3 buds of the base.
