Product description The Winter Pool Pillow is an ice-compensator for winterizing your swimming pool. This pillow inflates to 4 feet by 5 feet to absorb stress created by snow and ice building up on top of your winter cover, so the pressure compresses the pillow rather than pushing out on your pool walls and winter cover. Using an ice-compensating pillow is essential to protect your pool throughout the winter, and during severe winters the pillow may pop preventing ice from damaging your pool. Having the pool pillow centered in your pool under your winter cover also helps break up large chunks of ice in the spring thaw as well, which can otherwise damage your cover, and it will also moat the debris around your pool making it easier to clean off the cover in the spring. Inflate the pillow to about 60% of capacity. Do not over-inflate the pillow, as it needs room to compress. Over inflation can lead to early failure of the pool pillow and cause the valve to pop open or leak. If you have a large pool or long oval, you can use two or more pool pillows. Directions Inflate the Winter Pool Pillow to about 60% of its capacity, ensuring not to over-inflate. Connect it to your winter cover with The Pool Pillow Pal for secure centering. Use an air valve sealer to prevent air leakage. Place the pillow under the winter cover in your pool to absorb stress from snow and ice, protect pool walls, and ease spring cleaning. For larger pools, use multiple pillows.
