When her beloved mare gives birth to a baby unicorn, Polly is overjoyed and does everything she can to care for the young foal. But a newspaper manages to obtain photographs of the unicorn, and once they are published they attract the interest of The Great Allonso, a failing magician who thinks the unicorn will be able to give his powers a boost. Allonso subsequently steals the unicorn, and it falls to Polly and her friend Toby to mount a daring rescue mission.
