The Last Days of Frankie the Fly

Seemingly made by people whose only previous experience of movies was watching Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction over and over again, The Last Days of Frankie the Fly is nonetheless a competent time-passer in a "Tarantino, this is all your fault" kind of way. Frankie (Dennis Hopper) is already disgruntled with life as a small-time gopher for mob-captain Sal (Michael Madsen), when he meets Margaret (Daryl Hannah), an equally depressed porn star whose one burning desire is to become a serious actress (and what, end up in films like this?). With his ardour for Margaret as a catalyst, Frankie decides to make one last desperate bid to get out of the game--and into a career as a Hollywood scriptwriter.
