The original motion picture score to cult 80s film The Goonies is finally being made widely available on CD and double-LP. The beloved score, back by popular demand, was originally released in 2010 as a five-thousand-unit limited edition CD but promptly sold out. The double-LP, previously only available via one D2C store, comes in a gatefold jacket with a four-page booklet of notes from Mike Matessino, and includes four bonus tracks not included on the digital or CD version. This release will feature a full 71 minutes of Grusin's hit score. Grusin has been the winner of ten Grammy Awards along with one Academy Award and is known for his work on The Goonies, The Graduate, Tootsie, and On Golden Pond. From the imagination of Steven Spielberg and propelled by David Grusin's score, The Goonies plunges a band of small heroes into a swashbuckling surprise-around-every corner quest beyond their wildest dreams! Following a mysterious treasure map into a spectacular underground realm of twisting pas-sages, outrageous booby-traps and a long-lost pirate ship full of golden doubloons, the kids race to stay one step ahead of a family of bumbling bad guys... and a mild- mannered monster with a face only a mother could love.
