Product Description Optimum algae control: algae in an aquarium are not only unsightly, they can also inhibit the growth of water plants and upset the biological balance in the aquarium on a long-term basis. Tetra AlguMin combats all types of algae effectively and is gentle for all aquarium inhabitants, plants and microorganisms if used as indicated. The liquid formula tackles algae quickly because the highly active ingredient specifically attacks the algae’s metabolism and effectively prevents algae growth. As the active ingredient is released immediately and distributed optimally in the aquarium water, Tetra AlguMin can combat algae quickly. The product does not discolour the aquarium water. Tetra AlguMin is suitable for all freshwater aquariums. When using this product, the aquarium needs to be aerated, for example using a Tetra APS aquarium air pump, to ensure a sufficient oxygen supply. Dead algae should preferably be removed mechanically, with a net, so that they do not have a negative impact on the water quality. After treatment, to prevent new algae growth in the long term, the algae nutrients phosphate and nitrate should be reduced, e.g. with Tetra EasyBalance. As a preventive measure, special anti-algae agents which release their active ingredient slowly into the water can also be used on a regular basis, such as Tetra Algetten for aquariums with a capacity of up to 40 litres or Tetra AlgoStop depot for medium and large aquariums. Directions Use anti-algae products safely. Always read the label and product information before use. To start the treatment, add 5 ml Tetra AlguMin per 10 l of aquarium water. If required, repeat every 2 weeks with half dosage. Use the measuring scale (100ml) or the dosage cap (250ml / 500ml) for measuring.
