Ground spiral drill bit made of high-speed steel plus titanium nitride wear-resistant coating. The titanium nitride coating increases the surface hardness to about 2,300 Vickers hardness and the heat hardness resistance to about 600°C. The ground twist drill has increased concentricity. Applications: for steel, cast steel alloyed and unalloyed (up to 900 newtons/mm of ² strength), grey, malleable, ductile and pressure castings, sintered iron, nickel silver, graphite, short chipping aluminium alloys, brass and bronze.
