The Tamron SP 15-30mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 (Model A041) is a second-generation, high-speed ultra-wide-angle zoom lens with ultimate image quality that lets you faithfully capture all you see. The circular, 9-bladed aperture produces beautiful out-of-focus backgrounds or bokeh. By utilising specialty glass materials and aspherical lens elements, Tamron’s engineers have further minimised distortion and lateral chromatic aberration that can be an issue with wide-angle lens design. The lens also has triple element coatings, consisting of the newly developed AX (Anti-reflection eXpand) coating, plus eBAND (Extended Bandwidth & Angular-Dependency) and BBAR (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection) coatings, which all combine to provide stunningly sharp and clear images, even in peripheral areas, throughout the entire zoom range. This Model A041 lens features high-speed, high-precision autofocus technology and a powerful VC (Vibration Compensation) mechanism. It uses a Dual-MPU (Micro-Processing Unit) - one for lens system control including AF and the other for VC processing, which provides up to 4.5 stops of image stabilisation. Manual focus adjustments can also be made on the fly with the lens’s Full-time Manual Focus Override system.
