Product Description Our legendary 1/48 aircraft series is getting a new addition with the J version of the Lockheed P-38 Lightning! The Lockheed P-38 Lightning was an American twin-engine fighter aircraft manufactured by Lockheed; it was the first Lockheed fighter to officially enter service. The variants of the P-38 were used during World War II and achieved a production of about 10,000 pieces. Equipped with intercoolers under the engines, the P-38J Lightning delivered 1,450 hp at high altitude and a maximum of 1,600 hp as well as a longer range thanks to the fuel tanks in the wing tips in addition to the main tank.
