About this item
- Size and Package - Thread Size: M6 x 50 mm; Threaded Hole Diameter: 6 mm / 0.24″; Thread Length: 50 mm / 1.97″; Fit for 5/16" (8mm) Hole Dia; Thread Pitch: 1 mm / 0.04″; Socket Size: 15 x 8 mm / 0.59 x 0.31″ (L*OD).Package includes 10 set (Chicago bolts + matching barrel nuts).
- Heavy-Duty Carbon Steel, Black Oxide Finish - Cold-forged from high-grade carbon steel with a black-oxide coated, the set screw posts ensure good wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and high hardness. Won't shear under normal torque (≤ 8 N·m). Feels solid in hand. For outdoor / kitchen / bathroom use, choose the 304 stainless variant.
- Tight Threads, No Slippage - Each thread is rolled, not cut — so the pitch is uniform and burr-free for effortless tightening and anti slipping. The sleeved bolt seats flush against the barrel nut on first engagement. Vibration-resistant for normal indoor use (not rated for motorcycle / engine bay use).
- Tool You'll Need - A standard hex wrench or allen key (not included). Driver tip is a hex socket — fits all common allen wrench sets. Tightens firm by hand; no drill needed. Quick tip: leave 5 –10mm of the screw exposed past the joint so the barrel nut has somewhere to bite.
- Primary Use: Furniture Joint - Use these allen bolts to repair a wobbly chair, replace a stripped cam-lock, or join two panels of board. Also works for: bookbinding & scrapbook binding (≤ 25 mm); leather strap repair (12-30 mm); photo album posts (10-15 mm).

The package was here in Australia from England in a few days — so quick! Something was missing and they refunded it straight away. Pretty happy with these guys.
