These Foam sets are the direct replacements needed to update the sponges within the Swell Pressure Filter Deluxe, with the correct size for each model. These foam sets include a coarse black sponge in each set, with the addition of finer blue and yellow sponges, to ensure they are getting optimum filtration. The 8000 and 12000 models come with two sponges, and the 17000 has three sponges, one of each type. These sponges should be changed as needed, but ideally around once a year, though how well they are looked after will determine the life span of the sponges - regular maintenance will ensure they last longer.
