• SOW INDOORS: February – April. HARVEST: July onwards. APPROX SEEDS: 60
• INDOOR PLANTING: Sow seeds 5mm deep in pots or trays of moist compost, store in a warm place at an approx. temperature of 18-21°c (65-70°f). Once all chance of frost has passed the plants can be transplanted into growing beds or patio tubs outside, harden off first. These plants do best in very mild conditions, therefore, it would be better to keep them in a greenhouse or indoors.
• SWEET PEPPER MIX: Capsicum Annuum. Bell peppers are fantastic when they're enjoyed fresh from your garden. Add gorgeous colour and flavours to recipes with this eye-catching mix. Sweet Bell Pepper Hybrid Mix will bear fruits in green, yellow-gold, red, purple or orange hues. Sweet bell peppers are favourites for eating fresh, in salads, stuffed and cooked in other recipes.
• SUNLIGHT: Plant pepper plants in an area of the garden that receives full sun. SOIL: Rich, well drained soil. HARVEST: The fruits can be harvested any time after they reach full size. However, their colour and sweetness increases the longer they are left on the plant. 65-80 DAYS.
• CARE FOR PEPPERS: Plants are ready to put into their permanent cropping position once the roots fill the 9-10cm pots. They can also be grown in growing-bags, but will need very careful watering. Support them with bamboo canes or similar and tie them in as they grow. Pinch out the growing tip when plants reach about 20cm (8in) high to encourage bushy growth and better cropping. Water regularly and feed with a balanced general feed

Sweet peppers come in a good range of fruit colours when mature - red, orange, yellow and even purple. This makes them an excellent ornamental vegetable to grow - even in mixed flower borders or in pots on the patio. Although they tend to crop better when grown under cover - such as in a greenhouse or grow frame - sweet peppers are reliable croppers outside in warm, sunny summers.
