- SWEDE INVITATION SEEDS: A winter hardy variety which shows good resistance to club root and powdery mildew. A reliable variety with mild flavour, stores well.
- SOW: May to July, HARVEST: October to March, SEEDS: 750 Approx.
- FOR OUTDOOR SOWING: WHEN – May to July. WHERE - In a prepared seed bed. HOW - Sow thinly in rows 45cm apart. Cover lightly with 1.5cm of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear 14-21 days. An early and late sowing will give a longer harvest. CARE - When large enough thin to 25cm apart. Keep moist and weed free. Do not delay thinning or the plants will suffer. HARVEST – October to March. Leave in ground until required, or lift and store in a cool, frost free place and cover with straw or dry sand.
