Product Description Suttons Seeds Parsnip F1 Gladiator seeds produces long tapering, wedge shaped roots with smooth white skin, have considerable canker resistance. Highly recommended for both the table and exhibition use. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Recommended by the National Institute of Agricultural Botany. Culture: Sow late February-May outdoors in well-cultivated ground manured for a previous crop. Lift for use as required. (32-36 weeks maturity). Contains vitamin C and potassium. Can be roasted, boiled or mashed. Sowing and growing - For container growing - sow thinly, direct into the compost For raised beds try sowing in 30 cm squares, spacing four seeds every 15 cm, 15 mm deep. (Germination 10-28 days. ) As the seedlings emerge, remove spare seedlings to leave one per station (then you will have 9 plants per square). Alternatively sow in rows 30 cm apart.
