Product description
Description Much smaller than its sibling Hydrangea 'Limelight', but equally impressive! Hydrangea paniculata 'Little Lime' produces glorious lime-green flowers in late summer that fade through creamy white to a soft shade of pink. This compact paniculata variety is perfect for smaller gardens and containers, where it copes well in tricky north facing positions. The colourful autumn foliage only adds to its considerable charm. Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only. How to Grow Hydrangea paniculata prefers a sunny or semi shaded position, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Grow hydrangea plants in any non-alkaline, fertile, moist soil. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding with plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply. More Info Water regularly until plants are fully established. Leave the faded hydrangea flower heads in place until the new buds swell in spring to protect the delicate buds from frost damage. Prune after flowering, reducing the stems to restrict their growth to the available space and to improve the shape of the plant. If necessary, Hydrangea paniculata will tolerate hard pruning of the oldest stems to a few buds from ground level. This will also encourage larger flower heads to be produced. After pruning hydrangeas, apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant. Caution: irritant to skin and eyes, harmful if eaten. Height Up to 150cm (59.1in) Spread Up to 150cm (59.1in) Hardiness: Hardy Shrub Ideal For: Patio, Cottage gardens, Wildlife gardens, Cut flower gardens, Specimen plant, Woodland garden Position In: Sun, Semi shade or Dappled shade
