Beetroot Seeds - Rainbow Mix will brighten up mealtimes for both adults and children with a marvellous mix of round-shaped beets in a host of colours! Varieties include the earthy, striped Chioggia and the super sweet white Albina Verduna. These beets are sweet and flavoursome, particularly if harvested as baby beets. Rich in potassium and folate, plus some vitamin C. Donâ€t waste the tops – the leaves of young roots can be used as spinach. Sow March to June. Harvest June to October. For early crops, sow a bolt-resistant variety March-April. For use in summer and autumn, sow suitable varieties from late April to July. Store roots in dry sand, soil, or peat for winter use. (12-16 weeks maturity).
