You may need to unscrew the pipe fitting from your spa's filter housing if it did not come out with the old filter (many spa owners are not even aware that the fitting is still in there) before you can screw in your new filter. The filters that we sell are moulded as a single piece, so that the threaded fitting always comes out of the spa with the filter. Please contact us if you require a filter with a detachable boss. The filter may have a shorter thread length than your existing filter. This will not affect the filter in anyway. It will simply screw in up to the base of the filter and remain in place in the housing.
