Easily create grasses, foliage, fur and many other decorative strokes and textures in your watercolour painting with these 4 specialised brushes. The Tree Fan blender is traditionally used for filling in the body of leaves on a tree. A natural pattern will emerge by varying the angle from the tip of the bristles down and by the strength and transparency of colour on the brush. This brush has a hog-hair blend which is stiff and bristly. Best used with dry-brushing techniques or with less saturation of wet paint. Next, the Grass Comb brush which - as you might guess from the name - creates a natural looking grass. Though this is also excellent for fur, hair and for feathered edges. Best used dry over wet colour on your surface, with an upwards flick, or a thin colour load if used wet. The Sword Liner achieves a tapering, scrolling line if you bend the wrist slightly during use. Perfect for long petals and leaves or for decorative calligraphy-like patterns. The synthetic filament has great water holding capability for a long, smooth and unbroken stroke. And last we have the Stippler brush, a stiff hog bristle brush with a lot of uses! Best used dry or with a light colour load, this creates a dappled looking texture that mimics foliage, brushes, trees, hedges and other natural textures.
