St John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum) produces bright yellow flowers with distinctive clusters of golden stamens over a long period in summer, making it popular with pollinators. This upright perennial spreads via rhizomes and self-seeding, so it is ideal for wildflower areas, meadow edges or low-maintenance borders. You will receive three healthy plants in 9cm pots, selected and dispatched from our nursery ready to plant out. If you can’t plant immediately, keep pots in a sheltered spot and water regularly to keep the compost moist. Planting tips: dig a hole twice as deep and three times as wide as the rootball, mix in soil improver for heavy soils, set the plant at the same depth as in the pot, firm soil around the base and water thoroughly. For containers use a good multi-purpose compost. No routine maintenance is required. Planting and flowering months may vary with seasonal weather conditions.
