- SQUASH BUTTERNUT SWEETMAX F1 SEEDS: Vigorous, sets fruit early to make most of UK weather. Up to three large fruit per plant, each up to 3kg in size. Excellent source of vitamin A, good for vitamin C & folate.
- SOW: March to May, HARVEST: September to November, SPACING: 90cm, PREFERS: Full Sun, SEEDS: 10 Approx.
- SOW INDOORS: For surest results, 1.5cm deep, edge down, in small pots of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 15-20℃ is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days. Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 90cm apart, when frosts are over.
- SOW OUTDOORS: For ease, where they are to crop, 1.5cm deep directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Allow 90cm between sowing positions. Sow two seeds, edge down, per position. Early sowings benefit from cloche protection. Thin to leave the stronger plant. Water well until plants are established.
- Caution: Humans/Pets: If crop is bitter, don't eat or feed to pets.
