Traditional c shaped style carbon steel strikers for creating sparks when used with a flint stone. They are 9.5cm long by 3.5cm wide and fit very comfortably in your hand. They come in a draw string bag with a piece of English flint. Use them for bushcraft fire lighting, wild camping and hiking. Very easy to use, simply strike the edge of the steel on the edge of the flint and it will create sparks. Aim these at a suitable dry piece of tinder to create the beginnings of a fire. These are made of high carbon steel because this is the best material for creating sparks. However, part of it's caracteristics is that it will rust. For this reason the steel will arrive oiled and in a bag. All you need to do is wipe off the oil. Don't worry if there is a small bit of surface rust, it will not effect the steel in any way.
