Spitfire Refill Pack Designed for use with the Polymath Products Spitfire Pocket Fire Lighting Kit, but can also be used as general fire lighting supplies or added to your own survival kit or bug-out bag. Each Spitfire Refill Pack is good for two refills of the Spitfire Pocket Fire Lighting Kit. Waxed Jute Tinder Stick - These are water-resistant until ready for use, whereupon they can be fluffed out to make a tinder ball. Like this, they will readily catch a spark and ignite, and can be used as a lighting splint that will burn for four minutes. Waxed Dowel – These are water-resistant and are to be shaved into flakes using the Sharpener as found in the Spitfire (not included with this refill kit). These hot burning flakes act in a similar way to Fatwood to create an intense burn that will help you to get a fire going, even with quite damp materials.
