Southern Magnolia Magnolia grandiflora, Evergreen Tree, White Flowers, Showy Fruits, 10-15cm Tall Starter Plant in an 8cm Pot

• A tree sized Magnolia with large, white flowers (curled petals) that open in between the large, glossy, evergreen foliage.
• An architectural plant with very showy flowers and ornamental fruits.
• A 10-15cm tall starter plant (not branched) in a 7cm or 8cm pot. The plant will be ready to be planted out next Spring. Fully hardy and grown outdoors.

This species will grow into a medium sized tree in Britain, and has beautiful, large, glossy leaves, crowned by up to 10 inches wide, pure white flowers in early Summer, followed by very ornamental fruits - the red "coated" seeds apper on the surface of the fruit from September. It requires a warm spot for good growth and prefers a good, rich but well drained soil. It looks very exotic against a wall for example, even without flowers.
