The Source Tactical Hydration System consists of a lightweight backpack with flat and stowable shoulder straps with chest strap, four clips for attaching to MOLLE loops, a WXP 3 L hydration bladder with storm valve and hose. The WXP hydration bladder has a convenient Widepac sliding closure for easy access plus a large twist cap. The hydration system is practically self-cleaning thanks to the Source Glass-Like film. The surface of the Source hydration systems is 2000% smoother than a conventional PU film. This makes the surface almost as smooth as glass. The smooth surface prevents bacteria from settling and from forming biofilm. The co-extruded PE film wraps around the liquid without releasing plastic flavor to it. In addition, it is free from BPA and phthalates. Thanks to the Grunge-Guard technology, the surface of the hydration bladder inhibits the growth of bacteria efficiently, effectively and throughout its lifetime. The technology is based on antibacterial materials - so-called "anti-microbial agents" - with FDA approval and EPA registration.
