- SORREL RED VEINED SEEDS: Easy to grow, with an almost lemony sharp flavour. The very attractive leaves can be grown in containers. 1 or 2 leaves finely chopped add 'zing' to salads.
- SOW: March to September, HARVEST: May to October, SPACING: 30cm, PREFERS: Full Sun, SEEDS: 100 Approx.
- SOW OUTDOORS: Thinly where they are to crop, 2.5cm deep directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Allow 30cm between rows. Early sowings may benefit from cloche protection. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Water well and ensure soil remains moist to prevent plants running to seed.
- Harvest unthinned as baby leaves. Take a few leaves from each plant allowing them to regrow for two or three more pickings. Or, thin to 15cm apart to produce mature leaves. Regular sowings made every two to three weeks will ensure a continuous supply.
- Note: Use sparingly, we do not advise consuming in large quantities. Contents may vary but generally include, rocket, chervil, chicory and sorrel plus others. Varieties grow at different rates giving a different salad mix at every cut.
