This is an underrated, lovely small shrub which can be trained to a wall where the large, yellow, pea-like flowers are even more visible. It has dark green, acacia-like foliage and orange-yellow, exfoliating bark. Easy to grow, not too fussy to soil conditions and drought tolerant. It is hardy in Britain and most of Europe.
