Sika Imprimousse is a pre-compressed foam with open cell adhesive on one side, impregnated with synthetic resin designed to be compressed in the joint between two elements to ensure air and water tightness. TECHNICAL INFORMATION: Application temperature: from +5°C. The size of the SIKA print foam in depth should not be less than the maximum joint width. Method of application: remove the rolls from their packaging at the time of installation. Cut the strapping band as well as the first and last centimeter of SIKA imprimousse. Apply SIKA imprimousse slightly indented in the joint, on dry, flat and sufficiently RIGID substrate by removing the protective film from the adhesive as you launch. Installation of joinery: in support piece: arrange wedges of 5 mm minimum thickness. Apply the tape on the dusted substrate rather than on the carpentry, starting with the horizontal strips and then finishing with the vertical strips. Increase the length of the vertical strips by 1 cm for joining with the horizontal strips. In tunnel: apply the strip on the dusted joinery starting with the horizontal strip at the bottom, then by the vertical strips and finishing with the horizontal strip at the top. Increase the length of the horizontal strips by 1 cm in order to cover the edge of the vertical strips. Squeeze moderately with your hand to make it fit the shape of the support. Cut to desired length with scissors or a craft knife. The tape must be applied: without partially horizontal connection, with a vertical rise of at least 100 mm on either side of a rejingot. Butt strip connections: 90° cut of the ends to be connected. Tipping the ends of the 2 strips by pressing them against each other before pressing them on their support. Allow 1 cm long for the ends to be connected.
