If you have a long cable run from the aerial to the booster you can use a masthead pre-amp near the aerial which the auto line-power will detect and supply 12v to power it. The full gain outlet has 18db of gain which can be used to compensate for losses in very long cable runs or allows for the signal to be split to feed up to 8 additional rooms. Note: The use of the SLx Aerial Amplifier is recommended when you experience intermittent channel reception and pixelated images. Its use is not recommended when you receive no channels with your current set-up or when you live within a very short distance of you local TV transmitter, as it will cause the signal to overload. Note: It is not possible to view digital channels under weak signal strength conditions. Therefore, typically you will either receive digital channels with a clear picture and sound or you will not receive any channels at all. Sometimes, an insufficient digital signal can cause occasional blocking, freezing or complete loss of picture.
