Product description
Sif, Old Norse for "relatives", is in Germanic-Norse mythology a fertility goddess and the wife of the thunder god Thor. With him, she bears a daughter named Thrud ("Kraft"). In addition, she had a son, the fast archer, Ullr, whom she brought into marriage. She had beautiful golden shiny hair that was insidiously cut off by Loki after one night. Then Thor forced him to make Sif a new gold hair accessory by the dwarves, the sons of Ivaldi, who could grow like their hair. Thus, the Sif's hair stands as a symbol of mature grain fields, whose golden ears are cut off in the embers of late summer, and then recreate again the year later by invisible earth forces. Made of artificial stone and bronzed and coloured by an artist.
