Sharpening Stone Shapton GlassStone HR Serie Very Fine Grit #6000/2.45 Micron, No Pre-Soaking Phase, for Hard Steels High HRC, Glass and Aluminium Oxide
About this item
- Sharpening Stone Shapton GlassStone HR Grit #6000, the perfect stone for polishing the edge of your blades. The GlassStone series of sharpening stones uses a revolutionary design to provide great usability within a thin package formed from a combination of glass layers.
- The conventional image is that sharpening stones are large and heavy, but GlassStones are not only thin and light, but also strong, as layers of tempered glass are stuck together. GlassStones therefore have strong resistance to cracking or sudden breakage caused by external shocks such as being dropped.
- Micron class represents the coarseness, in another word, the size of the abrasive grains in a sharpening stone. The higher the number, the larger the grain size, in other words, the coarser the sharpening stone.
- Shapton stones do not need to be soaked except the very first time after purchase. We do recommend that on first use, you pre-soak the stone in water for five to six minutes to secure even smoother sharpening.
- Shapton stones are great at sharpening because of their high abrasive content - you can form an edge in no time. Shapton's unique bonding technology allows the abrasives to perform at an optimum level, resulting in long-lasting sharpening stones.
- Length : 21cm - Width : 7cm - Height : 1cm - Abrasive Layer : 0.5cm - Micron : 2.45 - Weight Net : 360g.

I wrote to Bigamart's customer support and they accompanied the process of reshipping the item until it finally arrived. I felt a genuine effort to solve the problem till it was finally solved.
The package was here in Australia from England in a few days โ so quick! Something was missing and they refunded it straight away. Pretty happy with these guys.
