- This mechanism is applicable to many other brands of CD players and HiFi, as many manufacturers use SF-P101N lasers.
- However, please note that there are two versions of the SF-P101N laser. One has 16 pins on the laser ribbon connector and the other has 15 pins.
- The 16-pin type is provided here as this is the most common type. The 6-pin and 15-pin versions are not interchangeable.
- The SF-P101N laser mounted on this mechanism can be used in many different brands of CD players and HiFi.
- The laser model is printed on the housing of the laser. So if your faulty laser is printed with SF-P101N, then this is your mechanism. Simply count the number of pins on the edge connector to verify that there are 16 of them.
