As we show in the picture above, the focal length means the distance between the lens and the cutting/ engraving material. ➤ Installation: When you install the lens, please make sure that the convex surface is facing to the laser, and the other to the cutting material. After you install the lens, you need to adjust the lens barrel slightly and fix it at the proper place. ➤ Cleaning Method: Step 1. You need to blow away the obvious pollutant, like dust. Step 2. As for the other contaminations, like fingerprint o smudges, you can use a cotton swab with acetone or isopropanol alcohol. Gently but quickly clean the surface of the optics with a damp cotton. Wait until the liquid on the surface of the lens evaporates. Step 3. For the pollutant, like oils, you can dampen an unused cotton swab or cotton ball with white distilled vinegar. Using light pressure, wipe the optic's surface with the damp cotton. Wipe excess distilled vinegar with a clean dry cotton swab. Immediately dampen a cotton swab or cotton ball with acetone. Gently wipe the optic's surface to remove any acetic acid.
